The author talks about Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. According to the author, the syndrome attracted cardiologists because it provides opportunity to learn about electrical conduction in the heart. He states that some patients with the syndrome also have concomitant congenital heart disease. He asserts that understanding of the genesis and maintenance of normal atroventricular conduction should be improved.
