INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES … Information Literacy Programs at the University of Ljubljana.

The article discusses information literacy programs at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. At the school's Department of Geography, librarians introduced information literacy as a part of the course "Introduction to Geography" in the academic year 1998-1999. First year students were required to take this course in their first semester. The course includes lectures and practical work on Slovenian catalogs and databases, international databases and using the Internet. The Information Literacy Program at the Faculty of Sports aims to introduce students to the development and influence of informatics.
