Abstract: The article presents the experiences of several female climbers. Beth Rodden of Estes Park, Colorado made a free-climb ascent up the 3,000 foot Nose route on Yosemite's El Capitan in 2005 along with her husband Tommy Caldwell. Alex Puccio of Dallas, Texas won both the American Bouldering Series championships in February 2006 and bouldering prize at the Teva Mountain games in 2006. Lynn Hill of Boulder, Colorado made the first free climb up the Nose of El Capitan in 1993.
