- Reports that three California newspapers have hired PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) to conduct quarterly audits of their circulations. `The Orange County Register' publisher N. Christian Anderson's frustration with the audits conducted by the Audit Bureau of Circulations; California papers' establishment of an advertising council to monitor the PwC audits' success.
