Abstract
- The article identifies several genes involved in glycosylation of polar and lateral flagella in mesophilic Aeromonas. The genes are not present in the complete sequenced genome of Vibrio parahaemolyticus, a bacterium also able to express two flagella systems, polar and lateral. The article reports on the isolation of an Aeromonas hydrophila AH-3 miniTn5 mutant unable to produce polar and lateral flagella.
