Abstract
- Information about several papers discussed at a symposium on American librarianship. Several public librarians attended the event held in San Jose, California. Remarks were given by Mary Baykan, "Library Journal" 2007 Librarian of the Year, regarding her advocacy efforts on behalf of the Maryland Library Association. Some of the topics at the symposium workshops were customer service, buildings, literary services, staffing trends and advocacy.
