Abstract
- This article focuses on place and the settings in Philip Larkin's poems. The author argues that the settings are indeterminate, citing that only 16 of 172 poems written between 1946 and 1983 refer to specific locations. The author suggests that the reason for Larkin's 'non-places' is that he has said that he preferred to be "on the periphery."
