Abstract
- The article focuses on the short-selling activity on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). For the monthly period ended May 15, 2007, short-selling on the NYSE rose to yet another record, as bearish investors stood their ground even as stocks rose to new highs. The number of short-selling positions on the NYSE that had not been closed out rose 7% to 11,761,191,254 shares from 10,989,496,813 shares in mid-April.
