Abstract

The article discusses actions by regional college accrediting bodies in the United States. The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools' Higher Learning Commission withdrew accreditation from Lewis College of Business in Detroit, a historically black two-year institution because of failure to provide information on its financial state and administrative procedures. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges' Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities placed Northern Marianas College on probation because of unstable leadership.
