Abstract
- The article focuses on a survey by the authors on the use of the Early English Books Online (EEBO) database in research and teaching at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. The survey reported that three quarters of the undergraduate students first used the EEBO to write a major paper in upper-level courses. Most of the graduate students first learned about the EEBO from a faculty member. Half of the faculty members first learned about the EEBO from a librarian. The survey found that downloading/e-mailing was the highest rated function among all user groups, and they were also satisfied with the effectiveness of their searches in the EEBO.
