Abstract

This article discusses DNA evidence in murder cases. In may of 2007, New Jersey man Byron Halsey was freed after serving 19 years in prison after DNA evidence led to the overturning of his 1988 murder conviction. The evidence now points to Halsey's neighbor Cliff Hall, who testified against Halsey during the original trial.
