Abstract

The article reports that Ithaca College has suspended its use of the School for International Training, an independent provider of study-abroad programs. The move came after an Ithaca student complained about her treatment when she was studying in Kingston, Jamaica, in a program organized by the private nonprofit group. The School for International Training is one of four outside providers of study-abroad programs to Ithaca. College officials said that the suspension was temporary, and that they hoped to resume using the group after receiving adequate guarantees of the safety of future students.
