Abstract
- The authors reflect on the role of educators, particularly the medical education teachers in the U.S. They discuss that educators should liken their role to that of the surrogate parents, investing time and emotion, and allowing the students to make small mistakes to learn from. The authors also believe that medical educators should honestly assess the chances of their students for postgraduate examinations, to allow them to be mature and ready to sit for examinations.
