Abstract: The article reports on the efforts of major liquid-crystal-display (LCD) manufacturers in Asia to increase capacity in response to signs of stronger demand. Analysts warn companies to be cautious in their expansion plans to avoid price declines. A forecast on the condition of the LCD market in the second half of 2007 is presented.
