The SnIV atom in the title complex, [Sn(NO3)4(C10H8N2)2], is ten-coordinated by two N atoms of 4,4′-bipyridine ligands and eight O atoms of four NO3− ligands. The Sn atom lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis. The Sn—O bond lengths are in the range 2.378 (5)–2.538 (5) Å. The Sn—N bond length is 2.601 (5) Å.
