Abstract

The article claims that an influx of small investors eager to earn money puts heavy pressure on fund managers in China. It says that the debut of fund management operations in China came in March 1998 when the China Securities Regulatory Commission approved two closed-end funds, the Kaiyuan and Jintai. It explains that since then, the Chinese fund management business has gone through eight years of twists and turns and has become more prosperous than anyone could have predicted at the start.
