Abstract

The article discusses events related to U.S. politics. The author suggests that if a decision is reached by a slim margin of the U.S. Congress in the impeachment of U.S. President Richard M. Nixon, the nation could be politically divided. The U.S. has refused to assist South Vietnamese troops after Chinese forces occupied the Paracel Islands. Senator Henry Jackson's emergency energy bill has been rejected by the U.S. Senate.
