Abstract

The article develops a cultivation system using a spinner flask for the mass production of mouse embryoid bodies (EB) with hepatic differentiation potential. The authors measured the kinetics of albumin production of EBs and the hepatic-specific gene expression of the differentiated EBs by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction to examine the performance of the EB formation system. The authors concluded that EBs that can be used to mass produce hepatic lineage cells for use in medicine.
