Abstract
- The title compound, C26H54B10P2, was obtained by the reaction of 1,2-carborane, n-butyllithium and dicyclohexylchlorophosphine in diethyl ether. The molecule lies on a crystallographic twofold rotation axis through the mid-point of the C—C bond of the carborane. The P atoms of the dicyclohexylphosphine groups are bonded to the two C atoms in the 1,2-dicarbaborane cage with a unique P—C distance of 1.894 (3) Å. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
