It is the biggest electronic commerce brand in the country, with 13 million customers who have made a purchase. In October 1999, Amazon.com was the seventh-most-visited site with 12.9 million unique visitors. What makes Amazon.com a marketing success is its dogged determination to make the things it does so smart and so obviously right that it seems like they were conjured up effortlessly.
