IBM/ATEC ACHIEVE INDEPENDENT CERTIFICATION OF RED HAT.

The article reports that the U.S. National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) certified the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 operating system from IBM. The Red Hat operating system is certified on various IBM server platforms. atsec is one of four companies that is accredited to perform evaluations under more than one national scheme. It evaluated Red Hat and recommended it for certification as compliant to EAL4+ and other Protection Profiles.
