This article reports on the move made by the University and College Union (UCU) to ask the Great Britain Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) for advice in a dispute over equality policy at the University of the West of England. An overview of the dispute is presented, as well as a discussion on the arguments raised by UCU. Incident that led to the move is recounted.
