Abstract

This paper contains detailed ecological baseline data collected from the proposed gold mining area in Lannigou, Zhenfeng County, Guizhou Province, China. The study includes characteristics and types of vegetation, such as common plants, rare or endangered plants, large ancient trees, and rare and endangered animals. An analysis of the data provides an assessment of the eco-environmental baseline in this mining area. Suggestions for protecting the sensitive ecology of this gold mining area are also presented.
