The Electrochemical Monitoring of the Perturbation of Charge Transfer through DNA by Cisplatin.

The article describes a biophysical method for studying DNA-drug interactions based on changes to the structure of double stranded DNA (dsDNA) upon drug binding. According to the authors, the method relies on charge transfer to a redox species that has intercalated into the dsDNA base-pair stack. The authors use the technique to determine the kinetics of formation of complete DNA duplexes.
