Abstract
- This section reprints an article about the astronomy in Dieterich Buxtehude's Passacaglia, published in the December 1984 issue of the journal "The Diapason." The Passacaglia by Buxtehude demonstrates a perfect number based on the description of the triangular numbers. The Andreas-Bach-Buch manuscript is the only surviving source of Buxtehude's Passacaglia. In addition to the numerous perfectus, the repetitions in the ostinato forms are subdivided in the symbolic numbers for Earth and Heaven.
