- The article profiles musician Youssou N'Dour. N'Dour is from Senegal and has frequently collaborated with singer and activist Peter Gabriel, who offered him the support slot on two tours and an appearance at his world music, arts, and dance festival known as WOMAD. N'Dour has also led campaigns to improve technology and battle malaria and is involved with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
