Abstract
- This article presents an Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) paper on reasserting the role of motivation and interest in children's academic achievement. The paper redefines learning and challenges assumptions about the role of motivation in learning. It focuses on incentives used to motivate learning and offers research-based recommendations on how to build motivation and interest in students.
