Abstract

The article discusses the "inverse gambler's fallacy" proposed by the philosopher Ian Hacking. The author focuses on the implicit premises of the gambler fallacy. The author contends that if the premise is absent from a likely reconstruction of a similar situation, then an argument based on that similar situation does not commit the fallacy.
