Paper or paper?

The article presents readers' opinions on the San Francisco, California and San Francisco County's move to ban plastic shopping bags and styrofoam containers in stores by November 2007. City clerk Michael Snow agreed with the ban saying, non-biodegradable containers may cost less for grocers and restaurants but it is the public and the government who are left to deal with the pollution from these materials. Envrionmental Planner Patricia Lambert said such laws have become a necessity with the slow pace of recycling and the worsening pollution problem.
