Abstract
- The article reports on the recognition of the importance of young people to the future of agriculture in Wales during the Royal Welsh Show. European Union (EU) farm commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel took time during her visit on July 23, 2007 to discuss the future of agriculture with representatives of Wales YFC rural affairs committee. Cross-compliance was also discussed as was modulation, on which Boel indicated a preference to increase compulsory modulation across the EU and reduce voluntary modulation.
