Abstract
- The article reports on the approval by the budget committee to the Ministry of Defence's plan to buy four F125 frigates under a contract with the ARGE F125 consortium of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems and Lurssen Werft in Germany. The F125 are the German Navy's first ships planned from scratch fro modern asymmetric warfare conditions. Moreover, following the approval, the construction will begin in 2011, with one ship delivered each year from 2014 to 2017.
