The Precarious Life of Drawings.

The article focuses on the evolution of painting. It is posed that the invention and introduction of mediums such as oil paints, modern graphite pencils, felt tip pens, and pastels gave artists new means of expression. Moreover, it is forwarded that if artists had been confined to using only permanent mediums there would be lesser art works which were created.
