Abstract

The author offers opinions on the role the states of Iowa and New Hampshire play in the U.S. presidential election process. As the first states to hold contests to select the two parties nominees for the office, the two have an undue effect on the election's outcome. This is seen as unfair. In addition, Iowa and New Hampshire differ significantly from the U.S. demographic norm. The concerns of their voters thus skew the nation's political agenda.
