Abstract
- The article examines the depiction of Russia in the history and geography books of Germany as well as various political newspapers. The relationship between both countries was also taken into account. According to the author, Thomas Mann's book "The Magic Mountain" depicts two types of Russians, the bad and the good. The depiction of the German unification was discussed as well as the educational system of Germany. Key information about the impact of the 1905 Russian Revolution on German Press is further presented.
