Abstract
- The article reports that staff at King's College London in England have been ordered by their principal, Rick Trainor, to credit the institution in research papers. Trainor urged staff to use citation properly in order to position the school in the league tables as decision on research fund allocation is based on bibliometic measures. Jonathan Adams of Evidence explained the impact of problems in matching author addresses to institutions on the development of metrics by the Higher Education Funding Council.
