Abstract
- The article reports on the efforts of information technology (IT) managers in the U.S. to prove business intelligence (BI) technology to end users and executives. Despite the democratization of BI, IT managers are having problems in convincing users and executives about its benefits, such as stronger return on investment. The key topics highlighted at the BI Perspectives conference of "Computerworld," are provided, such as the factors faced by the IT participants in their own organizations. One attendee, Calvin Johnson of the District of Columbia's Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency revealed how he promoted the technology.
