Abstract

The article focuses on efforts which are being made by the U.S. Treasury and some of the world's largest banks in 2007 to prevent the collapse of an entire class of investment funds called structured investment vehicles, which were created by two London, England bankers, Nicholas Sossidis and Stephen Partridge-Hicks. Problems which have led to the near collapse are discussed.
