Abstract
- The article offers information about the transition of medical care in cardiology from pediatric to adult services in Great Britain. Reportedly, the pediatric cardiac surgery, catheter interventions, and imaging techniques for children born with congenital heart disease are continuously improving. The transition of medical care in cardiology is a generic process that is applicable to all children and adults with chronic disease like diabetes and rheumatological and respiratory conditions, which aims to orchestrate the smooth transfer of a pediatric patient to adult services over a length of time. Moreover, several transition programs were assessed to be successful which anticipates the social, emotional, and psychological problems faced by young adults.
