Abstract

The article presents a conference paper titled "Religiosity and Protest Behavior: The Case of Turkey in Comparative Perspective," prepared for presentation at the ISA Convention in Hawaii. It focuses on the assessment of the role that religiosity in Islamic communities play in the decision of protest behavior to measure its effect against the other independent variables. It says that it is probable to explain political participation by reference to factors in Turkey that are parallel to unified democracies of Europe and the U.S.
