Abstract

The article focuses on a study on the relationship between environmental change and security in international relations. It analyzes whether environmental issues would benefit from being thought of as security issues or included in particular political communities' security agenda. It cites the importance of thinking of security as socially constructed and historically contingent. It provides an overview of conceptual approaches to environment-security relationship.
