Prevalence and characteristics of older Australian women who consult dentists.

The article presents a research on the prevalence and characteristics of older Australian women who had consulted a dentist. Women, who were randomly selected from the Medicare database, were asked about consulting a dentist, demographic characteristics, smoking history, and medical history. Results of this research show that 35% of Australian women aged 73-78 years consult a dentist within a year.
