State Party Finance in 2004.

The article examines the impact of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (BCRA) on the relationship between the state and national parties in the U.S. An overview of the relationship between the national parties and state parties under the period of soft money is presented. The authors maintained that state parties have been independent partners in the money relationship. State parties have changed from labor intensive operations to sophisticated service parties.
