- The article focuses on the serious impact a large drop in stock market indexes in the U.S. which was seen on November 1, 2007 has had on banks, including Citigroup Inc, and brokerage firms, including GMAC, in the United States. A discussion of the factors which led to the drop, including concerns from investors linked to poorly performing financial firms, is presented.
