Abstract
- The author reports on the impact which the 2007 third quarter earnings for the U.S. portion of HSBC Holdings PLC, HSBC Americas Inc., may have on the U.S. financial industry. The way in which HSBC America has been able to predict financial problems in the past is discussed. Implications on the U.S. economy which may occur due to the third quarter earnings report of HSBC America are mentioned.
