Abstract
- The article focuses on the data presented by the U.S. Federal Reserve Board regarding the U.S. commercial paper market. The total outstanding commercial paper increased by $4.5 million to $1.859 trillion but asset backed commercial paper outstanding declined by $6.1 billion. Tony Crescenzi, chief fixed-income strategist at Miller Tabak & Co., said that these data, along with persistent drops in commercial paper rates, are clear evidence of stabilization in the market.
