Abstract
- The article reports on the renewed bidding for the U.S. Air Force's Combat Search and Rescue-X (CSAR-X) program following protests from losing bidders Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin/AugustaWestland. It is stated that this new bidding allows these contractors to submit new data, including information on past performance or technology developments that has changed since the 2006 competition. Air Force acquisition chief Sue Payton said that officials from the U.S. Army and Navy will help to judge the new proposals.
