In the title compound, [Co(C9H8NO4)2(H2O)4]·4H2O, the Co atom lies on an inversion centre in an octahedral environment that is formed from two O atoms of two 2,6-dimethylpyridinium-3,5-dicarboxylate monoanions and four water molecules.
