Abstract
- The article discusses the emerging trade between Bangladesh and China in the textile industry. Although both countries have a 32-year old diplomatic relationship as of October 2007, China at one time posed the greatest threat to the industry of Bangladesh when worldwide tariff was removed. To make for the shortfall, Bangladesh developed the jute fiber, even diversified its use, and exported them to China to be added to other fibers. Bangladesh, with long tradition of textile exports to the quality conscious U.S. and Europe, believe it can compete well.
