Abstract
- The article reports that Wachovia's collateralized debt obligations fell by $1.1 billion in October, 2007. Total losses and write-downs at big banks have reached $41 billion as Bank of America warned that it may take some time for markets to return to normal. Many banks are still trying to assess the extent of their exposure to risky mortgages while analysts and investors are at a loss in predicting when things will get better.
