Information about several papers discussed at the annual meeting of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) in San Diego, California, is presented. Physician Brian S. Boxer presented results of a study on implantable contact lens (ICL). Boxer presented results with the lens in a sequential series of patients, both in healthy eyes and those that had keratoconus. Another clinician reported the outcomes of the FDA clinical trial of the ICL with 5-year follow-up.
